Lightbeam is seeking a Product Associate with applied experience with care management processes to lead the design and development of our Care Orchestration platform. The ideal candidate will be strategic with strong operational capabilities, results and outcome-oriented, creative, driven, and highly collaborative to design, develop, and deploy, data-driven Care Management products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the product lifecycle for Care Management and Orchestration tools from product discovery to launch, including setting timelines, prioritizing features, and coordinating product releases.
  • Partner with clinical teams (strategy, practice management, quality and safety, operations), design, product, development and operational leadership to craft the Care Management product roadmap.
  • Design care management tools to automate and streamline evolving care management workflows by leveraging existing platform capabilities while adding functionality and incorporating novel technologies like predictive analytics and generative AI.
  • Integrate industry best practices, end-user research, quantitative analysis, and technical research into Lightbeam’s care management product decisions to maximize the scalability, extensibility, and usability of the platform.
  • Define product requirements and create detailed business requirement and product functional specifications for development teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineers, designers, subject matter experts, and client teams) to mediate functional, technical, and design requirements.
  • Assess feasibility and ramifications of new business requirements, design appropriate solutions, and recommend alternative approaches when necessary.
  • Ensure products comply with regulatory standards (e.g. NCQA, CMS, State Medicaid) and align with business goals.
  • Communicate product vision and strategy to external stakeholders and team members.
  • Represent the team throughout research, design, development, and implementation to external stakeholders, leaders, and other teams.

What we’re looking for:

  • Ability to prioritize and sequence the work (features/stories) and ensure a clear line of communication between stakeholders and the delivery team.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery.
  • Aptitude to learn multiple functional areas of business – engineering, design, marketing, clinical delivery, sales, or marketing.
  • Demonstrable experience solving complex problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful products to clinical users, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and user-centered design principles.
  • Proficiency in using product management tools and software (e.g Jira, Aha)
  • Demonstrated understanding of modern product discovery and delivery techniques.
  • Ability to learn multiple functional areas of business – engineering, design, finance, sales, or marketing.
  • Demonstrates technical breadth and depth along with knowledge and understanding of competitive technologies, plans, solutions, and platforms.
  • Ability to work across stakeholders in the business and IT to understand business value and needs.
  • Experience in ensuring current best practices around performance, scalability, and compliance are followed while also meeting current and future business needs.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a proven track record of delivering business and product performance insights.
  • Leadership potential and a collaborative mindset, with a strong desire to influence and shape business outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, Public Health, Nursing, Business, Math, Computer Science, Biology, Nursing, or equivalent practical clinical experience.
  • 4+ years of technology-powered clinical product or user experience; at least 1 year operational or product experience within care management or population health company/team strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, ETL, and design prototyping software (Figma, LucidChart, Balsamiq, etc.) a demonstrable advantage
  • Proven experience in clinical product development or management, preferably in the healthcare, SaaS, or consulting industry.
