SCHEDULE: 9:00AM - 6:00PM

We are looking for two dedicated, seasoned professional interested in creating a welcoming loving classroom environment for children age 10 months - 24 months.

Our classes are designed for teachers to co-lead. Lesson planning and classroom responsibilities are shared between co-teachers. This allows for better consistency in the implementation of the curriculum as well as a supportive collaborative environment for our staff. Teachers are encouraged to use their experience, education, and creativity to create a hands on play based curriculum for their students.

Job Description

We are looking for fun and energetic Teachers for the Goddard School in Tysons, Virginia. We are located at 8618 Westwood Center Drive.

Duties of Lead Teachers include:

Meeting the individual needs of the children

Lesson Planning

Communication with parents

Participation in staff and training meetings

Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.

Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level.

Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.

Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff

Building teamwork

Job Requirements

Teacher Qualifications:

Professional & Kind Attitude

1 Year prior classroom experience

Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices

Strong written and communication skills

Lead teacher requirements as outlined by the Department of Education of Virginia

Preferred: CDA, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 - $23.70 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
