Devops Engineer

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Devops Engineer for an opportunity in GA.

Position Title: Devops Engineer

Location: Remote

Expected Duration: 6+ Months

Anticipated Start Date: - ASAP

Job Description:

We have a new job posting for DevOps Engineer role (GCP) for Eastern / Central time zone.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

* 6+ years of experience in DevOps, with at least 2 years in a senior role.

* Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

* Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

* Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Google Cloud Build.

* Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

* Solid understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure best practices.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

* Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

* Certifications in GCP (e.g., Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with configuration management tools such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

* Knowledge of database management and optimization (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

* Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies and practices.

* Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Stackdriver.+
