Job Summary:
Responsible for providing senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprise's overall infrastructure/security architecture. Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including architecting, implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems, network systems and applications across the enterprise and cloud. Reviews, advises and designs standard software and hardware builds, network designs, system options, risks, costs versus benefits and impact on the enterprise business process and goals. Develops and documents frameworks for integration and implementation for changes to technical standards. Assists in the development of and manages an architecture governance process. Provides technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate. Tracks industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprise's architecture needs.

Job Description:

Leadership
  • Responsible for leading team to complete assessment of large-scale and complex projects with multiple factors involving Windows Client/Server.
  • Provide project management of system and software rollouts and upgrades.
  • Assign tasks to staff and evaluate and inspect work performed to ensure standards met.
  • Assist the Network, Systems, or Client Services Manager in service request prioritization and assignment.
  • Identify areas in need of improvement and provide suggestions to management.
Planning
  • Develop project plans, timelines, resource requirements, tasks, and communications to ensure efficient Information System services and maximized use of computer resources.
  • Systems managed include the main SEH campuses and outlying properties.
  • Provide assistance with preparing annual budgets.
Training
  • Provide extensive training, documentation and support for all users and systems.
System Design
  • Evaluate hardware and software technology and recommend system upgrades and enhancements to ensure the quality of Information System services.
  • Research and review new enhancements for the SEH active directory structure
  • Review and evaluate requests for additional I/S systems or modifications to existing systems to identify impact on current or planned resources and systems.
  • Develop and maintain systems monitoring tools to provide proactive alerting.
Personal Growth
  • Enhance professional growth and development through in-service meeting, educational programs and workshops.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Bachelor's degree requirement can be waived if the candidate has four or more years' experience supporting an applicable application or technology.


Specialized Knowledge:

Specialized knowledge of one or more of the following technical disciplines:

Network Architecture, including enterprise network design, routing and switching (emphasis on IGP/EGP), network security, network virtualization, data center networking, and wireless communications

Systems Architecture, including Microsoft and Linux operating systems, cloud computing, Virtualization, Active Directory, system monitoring, automation, and application delivery.

Cloud Architecture, including Microsoft M365 cloud solutions, Cloud desktop/server/storage solutions, Cloud security, and IaaS/PaaS/SaaS solutions.

Security Architecture, including security design, enterprise assessment of risk, network security, cloud security, application security, IAM, incident response, compliance, and various security tools (SEIM, EDR, CASB, WAF, NGFW)

Kind and Length of Experience:

Eight years' experience supporting enterprise data infrastructure systems, cloud solutions, Microsoft Networks, Cisco Networks, Storage Area Networks, or Information Security.
