We are looking for a Warehouse Worker to join our team. The main function of this role is to receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from the stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. The job location is 4101 N Kentucky Ave, Kansas City, MO, with work hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This position has a high need to fill two slots due to upcoming vacancies and may potentially transition to a permanent role.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or using a computer.

  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.

  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.

  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.

  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.

  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.

  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.

  • Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.

Work Environment

This is a typical warehouse setting with a clean and well-organized layout. There is minimal machinery usage, including one forklift running intermittently and electric pallet jacks operating throughout the day. The warehouse handles up to 720 SKUs and emphasizes safety and cleanliness. The team currently consists of six members, ensuring a non-hectic and collaborative environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.70 - $18.70/hr.
