Store Manager

Responsibilities of Store Manager include, but are not limited to:
Leading & Coaching Your Team
- Direct the barista station workflow and maintain quality and speed of service
- Maintain confident, positive demeanor during stressful circumstances
- Manage employee performance and build employee morale
- Coach and provide instruction to employees on a regular basis
- Hold team members accountable to all company policies and procedures
- Oversee and/or provide training to all new employees with assistance from Store Supervisor or other highly qualified Barista
- Provide constant feedback to motivate and improve employee performance
- Conduct monthly team meetings, or more as needed
- Uphold team morale by discouraging drama and encouraging a strong team spirit
- Be available to answer employee calls/questions at all times
- Coach team members on what constitutes an emergency and what decisions should be handled without the need for a call to the Manager or Supervisor
- Handle disciplinary action with employees as needed and record action into employee file within talentReef. Contact Store Owner immediately if an employee is not performing well and termination is necessary
- Scheduling - Maintain consistent store schedule.
- Inventory & Harvest Order - Oversight of inventory and Harvest orders every week.
- Harvest Delivery - Oversight of Harvest Delivery each week. Maintain records of backordered items and follow-up with warehouse to ensure delivery of any missing items
- Sales & Hourly Spreadsheet - Consistently update Weekly Sales and Hourly Spreadsheet
- Labor and COGS Budget Management - schedule according to your store's Labor Guide (determined by Store Owner), and keep budget for cost of goods (COGS) at amount designated on Weekly Sales and Hourly Spreadsheet
- Goal Setting
- Interviewing, Training, & Hiring - Conduct interviews weekly, and hire quality team members as needed
- Submit New Hire information to payroll company, prior to New Hire completing first day of work behind the barista station
- Submit New Hire paperwork, in weekly envelope
- Maintain clean store and friendly environment - ensure all deep cleaning and daily cleaning is handled by staff which includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Outside daily details: ensure trash is picked up from parking lot and yard, outside tables are arranged neatly, weeds are pulled
- Inside daily details: front door, front/side windows, and drive thru window are free of fingerprints, tables and chairs are clean and neatly arranged, condiment station is neat, displays are arranged nicely with all items forward facing, displays are kept full, pastry case is windexed and crumbs are wiped out constantly, windowsills in store are wiped down daily for bugs, display shelves are dusted regularly
- Make sure all chore lists are completed according to their guidelines
- Customer Service - Continue to develop and build customer loyalty through amazing customer service
- Uphold the Amazings - amazing people, serving amazing drinks, amazingly fast
- Maintain the store in all areas to uphold Scooter's Coffee brand standards.
