Dietitian-Clinical Nutrition

Job Requisition: REQ 2801 Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: Days Hours Per Week: 40 hours Hiring Range : $28.73 - $38.44 The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Responsibilities: • Assesses patients for nutritional status. Provides interventions/treatments including diet therapy, counseling or specialized nutrition supplements. • Collaborates with physicians, nursing and ancillary services such as speech pathology or physical therapy. • Monitors tolerance and effectiveness of nutritional regimen and recommends therapy adjustments as necessary. Provides medical nutrition therapy and evaluates effectiveness of treatments. • Researches and takes initiatives to resolve nutrition care related complaints and problems. • Assists in monitoring meals including intake, diet compliance and tray accuracy. Maintains sanitation of food preparation area(s) through planned and unannounced inspections. Complexity of Work: • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Personal Protective Equipment: • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Licensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credential(s): • Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Commission on Dietetic Registration obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. • Advanced Life Support. • BLS Provider. Educator specializing in Diabetes Management Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English. Education: Bachelors Degree required.
