Premise Health is currently looking for a Physician Supervisor of Virtual Health to provide clinical leadership of Virtual Primary Careservices to members in a virtual health setting. 

Summary: 
  
 The Physician Supervisor of Virtual Health provides direct medical care to client company employees in a virtual/telemedicine setting. Oversees and manages a team of providers offering operational leadership and clinical oversight, health outcomes, and patient care for the telemedicine line of business  

Essential Functions: 

  • Oversees direct reports and day to day operations.
  • Leads and motivates medical providers in a virtual primary care environment; uses effective medical and performance development management processes.
  • Works in tandem with the management team to ensure a collaborative, results-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Assists with decisions regarding the hiring of physicians and providers to ensure quality and fit of candidates.
  • Performs annual evaluations of virtual health physicians and providers.
  • Provides episodic, preventive, and acute health care to patients.
  • Provides collaborative oversight and consultative advice to providers on unique medical cases, patient situations and/or client issues.
  • Completes chart reviews (aligned with Premise standard procedure to include charts reviews for Locums, Providers and new hires as necessary).
  • May provide occupational health services (in a virtual/telemedicine setting
  • Conducts histories and physical examinations and prescribes medications and/or medical treatments based on best practice standards.
  • Develops treatment plans in collaboration with patients; educates and advises on medical issues as needed
  • Provides referrals both internally and externally to appropriate medical resource or specialty
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of medical care and monitors progress of patients
  • Identifies emergency situations and provides care within legal scope of practice and as defined by Premise Health privileging process
  • Maintains medical records and documentation via appropriate Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • May formulate and administer health programs as needed
  • Provides overall responsibility for the care of patients seen in the virtual/telemedicine setting in collaboration with the Digital Wellness Center, Medical Director.
  • May require other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

Education:

  • All state licenses to practice
  • Current board certificate (ABMS, AMA or AOA)
  • Medical Degree 

Experience:

  • At least three years of post-residency clinical experience 
  • Experience in a primary care, urgent care or emergency room setting. (Occupational healthcare experience may apply in some clinics).

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet and Word Processing software
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
