GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under direction from the Radiation Oncology Manager, supervises the daily activities of the support staff in the department of Radiation Oncology.

  • Hires, schedules, evaluates and provides direction to the support staff.

  • Develops and implements clinical policies and procedures.

  • Participates in departmental Quality Assurance activities to ensure continued high clinical standards.

  • Spends 80% of time on supervisory responsibilities and 20% of time working clinically.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor's Degree required. (There is no additional curriculum in a BSRT program.)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • At least three (3) years clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

  • A.R.R.T. registered in Radiation Therapy Technology Certification required.
