Full Job Description

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant Location: Lauderhill, FL

Salary: $28-$33 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Physical Therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.

Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility and relieve pain.

Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.

Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and self-care techniques.

Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of various treatment modalities to support patient care.

Conduct screenings of residents as scheduled for referral to Physical Therapist.

Provide objective data to Physical Therapists as allowed by the scope of practice.

Administer physical therapy treatment to residents as indicated in the plan of care.

Actively engage and contribute to the success of the rehab department, interdisciplinary team (IDT), and overall facility success.

Requirements:

Associate of Science in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.

Current Florida PTA License.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Proficient with computer and technology use.

Previous experience preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care practices.

Strong understanding of physical therapy techniques and modalities.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate well with patients.
