Employment Type: Short-Term Contract (10 Days, 80 hours of work)

Job Description:

Eight Eleven Group is seeking a motivated and skilled Deployment Technician to join our team and play a role in the setup / installation of "Just Walk Out" technology. This may include camera installation, cabling, and other related tasks. This position involves both onsite work and travel to various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure "Just Walk Out" technology, including camera systems and cabling, according to established guidelines and specifications.
  • Perform electronic and mechanical assembly tasks with precision and attention to detail.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions independently.
  • Create diagrams of assemblies and systems as needed.
  • Utilize strong computer skills in a Windows 10 environment or earlier for system configuration and maintenance.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team to ensure successful deployment projects.
  • Adhere to training schedules and dispatches as per availability conditions.

Required Competencies:

  • 1-3 years of related experience with installation and servicing.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic and mechanical assemblies, with experience in a related field (e.g., General Contractor or machinist experience).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to diagram assemblies and systems readily.
  • Proficiency in working with Windows 10 or earlier operating systems.
  • Willingness and availability to adhere to training schedules and dispatches.
  • Candidate must be comfortable acquiring their own tools for this position:
  • 3/16 T-Handle, 3/8' Drive set, 4ft level, Digital Angle Guage, Fiber Cleaner, Hex Set, Mallet, Metal T-Square Ruler, Micro Cutter, Non-Contact Voltage Tester, POE tester, Precision Driver Set, Safety Glasses, USB meter, Voltage Meter, Wire Cutters, Wire Stripper, Hard Hat, Reflective Vest

Preferred Competencies:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Experience providing technical servicing for related technology and/or products or services, such as Amazon Go Store devices and technology, Networking, or similar.
  • Familiarity with installing sensors, cameras, computer hardware, etc.
  • Knowledge of learning management system navigation, including eLearning platforms.
