ICS Security Engineer

Do you enjoy creating and implementing solutions to protect industrial control systems? Are you passionate about defending critical infrastructure and analyzing vulnerabilities in control systems?

We are looking for an Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Security Research Engineer to join our team. As an ICS Security Engineer, you will lead interdisciplinary teams to design cutting edge resilience solutions for industrial control systems, engage in red teaming exercises, and develop proposals to influence important decisions. You will work with advanced research facilities and contribute to shaping premier research efforts.

  • Your primary responsibility will be leading interdisciplinary teams to design cutting-edge resilience solutions for industrial control systems.
  • You will reverse engineer control system network protocols and engage in red teaming exercises and adversary emulation.
  • You will work closely with teammates to test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software integrated with ICS testbeds.
  • You will develop and present proposals, briefings, and reports to technical specialists, collaborators, and sponsors to influence important decisions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience with ICS devices, SCADA technology, HMIs, and cybersecurity
  • Experience with networking concepts and ICS protocols
  • Good understanding of industrial control systems environments, risks, and vulnerabilities
  • Experience working with federal departments/agencies or critical infrastructure organizations
  • Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in relevant technical field
  • Experience with ICS and SCADA systems security standards and certifications
  • Relevant certifications such as CAP, CCTS, GICSP, or ISO 27001 Auditor
