Description

MUST have 2 years of experience working at a medical office or will not be considered. Full-time position for a Medical Scheduler / Receptionist. We are looking for a smart, talented and resourceful individual. This is a critical position in our practice. As a Medical Scheduler / Receptionist, you will be relied upon to represent us and yourself with integrity and excellence.

HOURS: Monday - Friday 9am-6pm

This position offers you the opportunity to consistently interact and work with patients. It also offers the ability to learn and grow in other areas of the practice for those seeking to expand their skills and grow their career.

Must be reliable and responsible and have good computers skills.

Prefer experience with eClinical works EMR.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS MAY INCLUDE
  • Greet patients, in a friendly welcoming manner.
  • Verify and collect demographic information and accurately input into EMR (email address, pharmacy, and insurance information).
  • Understand and explain to patients insurance copay versus deductible versus coinsurance.
  • Collect co-payment, any patient balances, and post balances to patient account and reconcile monies at end of shift.
  • Screen phone calls and answer basic billing questions in regard to patient balance (i.e., copay, deductible, and/or co-pay related.
  • Complete medical record requests within 30 days.
  • Operate front office equipment (phones, fax, copy, credit machines, etc.)
  • Assist patients when issues arise while get connecting to their Tele-visit appointment.
  • Assist as needed in other areas; i.e., mental health coverage, scanning paper charts, attaching faxes to appropriate charts.
  • Print list of appointments for the following day and scan any paper chart into the EMR.
  • Explain and hand out HIPAA form and all other consents to patients.
