Diver

The Salvage Diver is responsible for carrying out dive operations as instructed by the Dive Supervisor and the Salvage Master to support wreck removal and emergency response works. The position of a Salvage Diver is project-based and requires domestic and international travel to project sites.
Position Responsibilities:
- Underwater inspection to ascertain, quantify, document and report the condition of the vessel / marine structure
- Carry out under water cutting, drilling, burning and welding operations
- Fabrication of patches - installation of patches
- Carry out Blow down operations to restore buoyancy
- Underwater Fuel Removal using hot tap or other mechanism
- Water jetting to remove mud
- Black water diving
- Able to handle heavy rigging and install shackles, chains, slings underwater
- Ability to carry out Penetration dives
- Carry out standby duties
- Other duties as assigned
Pre-hiring Requirements (Must be uploaded before completing employment application)
- Saturation Diver or Mixed Gas Diver
- ADCI (USA) / IMCA (International) / DCBC
- (Canada)
- Driver's License Passport
- Dive Physical (6-month validity)
- First Aid/CPR
- Dive School Diploma
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER
- Resolve Confined Space Entry Module
- Resolve Training Module (see below)
- Seaman's Book
- O2 Provider/ Emergency Oxygen Certification
- Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC)

- BOSIET / HUET
- TWIC Card (US Nationals)
- STCW
- Rope Access Training Others (as needed)
- Sit or Stand

- Use Hands/Fingers to handle or feel

Travel Requirement
Extensive travel is required, sometimes for months, depending upon the project duration. Ability to work on remote or distant projects as needed for several months. 24-hour and 7-day-a-week availability based on project or emergency response needs.
