The technician also helps to maintain the closet's networking equipment. Essential Duties Providing access to contractors who are adding HVAC and Emergency power electrical circuit to wiring closets across campus. (Note Drexel has nearly 300 Telecom closets campus wide.) Preparing (cleaning, organizing, securing lose cabling) the rooms/closets in advance of contractor work. Installing $1M worth of life cycle replacement in UPS units in campus wiring closets. Responding to service outages in telecom closets. Performing MAC service installations (move add changes) in campus wiring closets Required Qualifications Minimum of Vocational or Technical School experience. Minimum of Five to seven years of experience. Lifting demands 50lbs. Typically standing, walking. Physical Requirements Typically sitting at a desk/table.
