Job Description

Project Manager/Estimator - HEAVY CIVIL CONSTRUCTION

A company with a proven track record for its ability to work on diverse projects is seeking a motivated Project Manager interested in a rewarding work environment and looking to grow both individually and with the company.

The ideal Project Manager candidate would be ready to jump in headfirst with managing heavy civil construction projects while working with office and field staff to ensure the success of the projects.

JOB DUTIES :
  • Review project proposals to determine budget, time frames, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources.
  • Outlining work plan and assigning duties, responsibilities, and scope authority to project staff; awarding subcontracts and issuing purchase orders.
  • Arranging all required permits, drawings, and submittals; negotiating and executing all change orders.
  • Preparing project reports for management, clients, and/or others.
  • Conferring with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve any problems, modifying schedules or plans as required.
  • Preparing and maintaining job costs on a daily/weekly basis and reviewing with project personnel.
  • Monitoring project closeout: final quantities, change orders, and final releases from agreements.
QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Superior communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to the ever-changing environment the industry demands.
  • Applies innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
  • Project size >$1.0+ m
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Diverse project experience
  • Detail-oriented and strong follow-up skills
  • Self-motivated and passionate about delivering exceptional client service.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Bluebeam
REQUIREMENTS :
  • Minimum 5 years working on civil (earthwork, road/highway, site work, underground utilities, bridge, excavation, etc.) related projects.
  • Utility, Paving, Bridge, Earthworks Experience
