Job Title:  Shop Forman
Location:  Shreveport, LA
Schedule:  5 – 40 Schedule (8Hr Days) (some weekends & OT may be required)

Summary: 
Seeking a qualified construction shop foreman in the Shreveport, LA area.  Applicant must be organized, knowledgeable, show great communication skills, and possess the ability to work well with others.

Job Responsibilities Summary: 
A foreman should possess and be able to demonstrate the following capabilities and qualifications
  1. Technical knowledge and craft skills identified for a journeyman of the particular craft this/she is supervising.
  2. Ability to effectively organize, supervise, motivate and evaluate personnel.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively.
  4. Ability to develop and maintain a good working relationship with the client as well as peers.
  5. Ability to assist the General Forman load the work schedules with his/her area.
  6. Ability to implement two week work schedules and alternate works plans to ensure maximum utilization of tools, equipment, and personnel. 
  7. Ability to implement effective cost controls within area of responsibility.
  8. Assist in interviewing and hiring the craftsman within his/her given area.
  9. Implementation of the project’s safety programs.
  10. Assuring compliance within the project’s safety and work rules.
  11. Acquiring and maintaining and in-depth knowledge and understanding of the technical installation requirements for the work under his/her supervision.
  12. Assuring work is accomplished in accordance with the latest revision of the applicable technical document. 
  13. Maintaining a current knowledge of the status of the work and materials under his/her supervision. 
  14. Verification and reporting of installed quantities.
  15. Participating with the Superintendent and General Foreman in the weekly reviews costs and schedule for the work under his/her supervision.
  16. Attending and participating in the projects weekly safety meetings.
  17. Meet the [projects standards for: Cost, Schedule, Quality, Safety

  8. Training and Coaching: Increase the effectiveness of your crew by passing on each individual member basic technical and craft knowledge.
