Join Our Team as a Part-Time CDL A Driver

$21.00 per hour

JOB SUMMARY
As a CDL A Driver, you will be responsible for the prompt delivery and pickup of containers from customer locations. Your key goal will be to ensure a safe, efficient, and courteous service that strengthens our relationship with customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers.
  • Conduct and document daily pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift equipment.
  • Be flexible to accommodate add-on deliveries in response to business needs.
  • Utilize a handheld computer for navigation and delivery verification.
  • Operate a forklift and/or overhead crane when required.
  • Inspect and clean containers to ensure they are ready for customer delivery.
  • Handle rental paperwork and payment coordination with customers.
  • Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer inquiries or issues; prepare necessary driver notes.
  • Perform on-site repairs for containers and lifts at customer locations and storage centers.
  • Provide backup support for storage center functions as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the truck cab, ensuring it is free of debris.
  • Be ready to take on other duties as assigned.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports to Management, typically a Market Manager or Territory Manager.
  • This position does not include direct management responsibilities for other employees.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid CDL Class B License required, without air brake restriction.
  • Must hold a current and valid driver's license.
  • Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards.
  • Minimum age of 21 years required for insurance purposes.
  • Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or be able to obtain a minimum of a one-year certification (per DOT requirements).
  • Prior experience with electronic equipment and software is preferred.
  • Basic math skills to perform essential duties.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
  • Able to attend the mandatory 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program.
