Senior DevOps

Net Vision Consultants, Inc. is a Woman-Owned & Veteran-Owned (WOSB & VOSB) Small Business providing services to the Department of Defense and Commercial partners. We provide consulting services in Engineering, Analysis, and Program Management in an effort to better protect and defend National Security and associated missions. We specialize in multi-modal, multi-medium telecom analysis and engineering support.

We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Utilize various open source technologies

• Use various tools to orchestrate solutions
• Build independent web based tools, microservices and solutions
• Write scripts and automation using Perl/Python/Groovy/Java/Bash
• Configure and manage data sources like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, Hadoop, Accumulo, etc.
• Understand how various systems work
• Understand how IT operations are managed
• Manage source control including SVN and GIT
  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• TS/SCI w/ Full-Scope Polygraph
• Bachelor's Degree or comparable work experience
• 10 years of experience in managing Linux based infrastructure
• 5 years of hands-on experience in at least one scripting language
• 5 years of hands-on experience with databases including MySQL, Mongo & Elasticsearch
• Knowledge of Java/JVM based languages

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with NiFi, Kafka, and Spark
• Extremely familiar with distributed computing systems
• Able to troubleshoot distributed systems and remote access in a cleared environment with air-gapped systems
• Proficiency with handling large velocities of data, as well as large volumes and rapid scaling.
• Thorough documentation and wireframing of infrastructures, promoting clarity and transparency
• Stress testing and knowing thresholds/capacities of systems
• User account creation & grouping based on permissions
• Knowledge of AWS architecture, AWS marketplace, Cloud formation scripts and lambda expressions with ec2 & ephemeral instance management.
• Applying government and industry security into infrastructure stack.
