As a Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with patients, their families, physicians, and other members of our interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide the highest quality healthcare services. You will assess patient needs, develop care plans, and implement and evaluate medical and nursing regimens by our hospital's philosophy, policies, and standards. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing and current New York registration. A Baccalaureate in Nursing (BSN) is required. We value continuous learning and encourage our nurses to pursue further education.
In addition to your education, we require one year of acute care nursing experience, although experience in medical-surgical or step-down areas is preferred. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association is also required. Depending on the unit you will be working in, additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and NRP may be necessary.
