Role Description

The Cell Engineering team within the Technology group at Form is multidisciplinary and focused on delivering qualified battery cell designs that meet operational performance targets, at cost and with high reliability, from controlled processes on high-volume manufacturing lines for Form Energy's utility-scale multi-day energy storage system.

The Cell Engineering's Prototype Build team is looking for a Senior Production Planner to drive the production schedule for our prototype full-scale cell builds, which are used to drive the development of the next generation of our multi-day energy storage batteries. In this role, you will be accountable for developing, managing, and reporting against our production & material plan based on experiment demand. You will coordinate closely with an interdisciplinary team of technicians, operation leaders, engineers, facilities, program managers, and supply chain stakeholders to enable a lean build plan for our prototype test vehicles. You will ensure production is met to enable our company's key battery development milestones and positively impact our mission to decarbonize the grid, and adjust our build plan as necessary when changes come up. If you're passionate about building ideas and processes from scratch and find yourself gravitating to the most impactful projects that will up-level the entire organization, then this is the right role for you

What you'll do:

  • Manage and improve production workflows for prototype test builds on two pilot assembly lines
  • Lead daily / weekly coordination meetings with stakeholders to clearly communicate production build plans and material status, as well as changes and escalations
  • Coordinate labor, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
  • Interface with multiple teams including performance engineering, cell design, supply chain, build operations, and program management
  • Work closely with engineering to ensure BOMs, material forecast and relative build priority are up to date and aligned with the cell development program plan
  • Manage standardized daily & weekly production reporting for our pilot assembly lines
What you'll bring:
  • 4+ years of experience with small volume or pilot manufacturing lines, preferably in a product development or start-up environment
  • Strong knowledge of material resource planning (MRP) and manufacturing execution systems (MES)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as high attention-to-detail
  • Strong communication skills both within the team and with external stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft, Google, and other software packages
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is a plus
