To perform routine and specialized examinations in CT; to adapt procedures to obtain specific diagnostic and/or therapeutic results; to prepare patients for examinations. To be the area expert. To adapt procedures to obtain specific diagnostic results under the direction of a radiologist. This position is also the preceptor and resource technologist in the area for training of employees and daily functions.

  • Performs CT procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination within the guidelines, policies, procedures and standards of Medical Imaging to assigned patients of all ages and is expected to be the expert.
  • Develops and implements annual competencies for all CT technologists.
  • Provides input on the evaluation of staff.
  • Coordinates a training program as well as continued training of existing employees (competencies) to ensure high quality exams.
