This position requires the incumbent to obtain the SFPC certification within their first two years of employment. Subsequent SPēD certifications are required with the requirement to complete one per year each consecutive year thereafter in the order mandated by the SPēD certification sequence and/or as mandated by the position supervisor and/or organization leadership. Subsequent SPēD certifications required for this position include: Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC): Provides a recognized and reliable indication of a security practitioner's ability to apply foundational concepts, principles, and practices needed to successfully perform security functional tasks, implement programs, and pursue missions to protect DoD assets. And Security Program Integration Professional Certification (SPIPC): Provides a recognized and reliable indication of a security practitioner's understanding and ability to apply risk management and security program management concepts, principles, and practices. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a Security & Intelligence Career Field position. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
