ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to successfully recruit and onboard new employees, train and coach staff, schedule employee shifts, with strict adherence to overtime policies, perform activities around employee engagement, performance management, and recognition
- Maintain a focus on growing sales volume and increasing site profitability
- Manage operating P&L metrics and understands how expenditures/costs impact business margins and pricing
- Ensure that customers are satisfied and that any inquiries, incidents and issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Ensure the site follows all approved safety procedures
- Ensure the site follows all approved vehicle damage claim procedures
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Strong leadership and communication skills including active listening
- Experience with team building
- Excellent sales and customer service skills
- Ability to anticipate customer needs
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong work ethic and professional attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
- Three+ years of retail experience, with at least one year in a management role. Candidates with supervisory or assistant manager experience from a Big box environment or auto industry, car wash or lube store are encouraged to apply.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
In performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk throughout the workday; use of hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stop, crouch, and kneel. The employee must be able to work in damp and humid conditions. The employee must be able to work in outdoor variable weather conditions. The employee may have to lift and/or move objects up to 25lbs on a regular basis and occasionally up to 50lbs.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others.
This position works in a typical outdoor car wash environment. The noise level is usually moderate but can be excessively loud with hearing protection required (along with other PPE). This person must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols which means this person will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as, but not limited to hearing, eye, foot, hand protection.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
The team member must be capable of performing their responsibilities with minimal supervision.
