Packing Machine Operator

Set up and maintain packing department machinery in order to achieve the highest levels of efficiencies among the primary users of this machinery.

Schedule: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm on a rotating schedule.

What you get to do

  • Set up machines for packing, bagging and sorting of produce and make necessary adjustments for maximum output and desired quality
  • Work with others (both internal and external) to adjust and make recommendations to improve productivity on machines
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is performed on all machines in a timely manner and work with the maintenance team to keep machines running safely and efficiently
  • Ensure proper machine cleaning is performed on a regular basis and as needed
  • Prepare and maintain operator's manuals, checklists, maintenance logs and cleaning logs for all machines
  • Always operate machines in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and food safety policies
  • Assist with other packing processes as needed
What you bring
  • Ideally, previous experience operating and maintaining packing machinery
  • Ideally, 1year experience in a Four Seasons operation
  • Must be mechanically inclined and able to understand the basic functions of packing machinery
  • Must be able to effectively read, understand and utilize operators' manuals
  • Must be able to effectively compile operators' manuals, maintenance logs and cleaning logs
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ideally, a High School Diploma or equivalency
