Summary:

The Business Intelligence Architect works with Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts and Client Technology teammates to design, manage, and deploy data warehouses, marts, models, lakes, pipelines, reports and dashboards for use by the company's operational teammates and clients.

The candidate should be highly talented, self-motivated and confident. They should feel confident in his/her abilities and enjoy analyzing and developing complex applications.

Essential Duties and Functions:
  • Develop relationships with key Business Intelligence and data users within the business to provide continual service and support of organizational data and information reporting.
  • Define and implement best practices for design, storage, & security of reports and dashboards.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and clients to formulate/define system scope and objectives.
  • Work independently with end users to design and build Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Work with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes to data systems.
  • Share responsibility in the development, maintenance, and support of data warehouses, lakes, pipelines and corresponding data marts.
  • Perform necessary investigation and analysis to assist in the definition of systems set-up and process control.
  • Perform design, programming, debugging, testing and documentation activities as needed.
  • Produce high quality finished technical specifications and software products.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • Experience using advanced T-SQL in Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or later, including stored procedures and functions.
  • Experience designing Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Experience building and using data cubes through any of the following: Power BI, Tabular or Multidimensional Cubes (SSAS), Power Pivot for Excel.
  • Experience with Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and their use with measures, calculated columns, calculated tables, complex table queries, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
  • Experience with ETL tools, including Power Query.
  • Experience with data warehouse schemas and data mart design.
  • Experience with data modeling using one of the following: Power BI Desktop, Tabular Editor, BIDS, or equivalent.
  • Experience with paginated reports, using one of the following: Microsoft Report Builder, Power BI Report Builder, or Reporting Services in Visual Studio.
  • Experience with other Power Platform applications (PowerApps, Power Automate), Azure Data Platform (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse), and Dynamics 365 & Common Data Model are strong pluses, but not required.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis:
  • Repetitive motion. Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day.
  • Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours per day.
  • Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor.
  • Sedentary position. Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day.
  • Worker not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions


Pay Ranges:

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including skills, experience, work location and more. We offer competitive pay while still allowing for compensation growth within the position and company.
