Coperion is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler - Custom Machine Assembly to support our location in Whitewater, WI. This is not a standard production assembly line position. You will be building different equipment each day. There is a lot of room for growth into other disciplines if desired We have a 5S environment, very clean production floor and great people to work with
Schedule: 1st shift Monday-Thursday 6am-3pm & Friday 6am - Noon
Responsibilities:
* Develop a working knowledge of Coperion products, parts and part numbers, a thorough understanding of safety requirements, and build quality mechanical assemblies using blueprints, schematics and work orders
* Interface with engineers and other manufacturing disciplines within the factory to overcome challenges and meet customer's needs
* Review technical drawings
* Operate machines, tooling equipment, fork truck, and overhead cranes for production and assembly
* Support our lean manufacturing processwith 5S
* Adhere to ISO 9001 company standards, work instructions and procedures
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Six months or more mechanical aptitude experience
* Mechanical aptitude
* Familiarity with basic hand tools, knowledge of blueprint reading
* Ability to multitask
* Basic computer knowledge preferred
* Dependability a must
*Willing to train someone with mechanical aptitude, good work ethic and positive attitude
