THE JOB
This is an Information Architect position and requires someone who has Information Architecture, Data Strategy, Data Governance, Azure & SQL Server. As an Information Architect, your roles and responsibilities will include:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Information Architect/Data Strategist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in information architecture, coupled with expertise in data strategy. This role will involve designing, organizing, and managing complex information structures while also developing strategies for effective data management and utilization across the organization.
Responsibilities: Must have strong SQL Server and Azure experience.
1. Information Architecture:
  • Design and develop information architecture solutions to meet the organization's needs, ensuring information is organized, accessible, and understandable.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand user requirements and business objectives, translating them into effective information architectures.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to information architecture, including diagrams, models, and guidelines.
  • 2. Data Strategy:
  • Develop and implement data strategies to optimize the collection, storage, and utilization of data assets.
  • Work closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business insights and decision-making.
  • 3. Data Governance:
  • Establish data governance frameworks and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Define data standards, metadata structures, and data classification schemes to support effective data management.
  • Monitor and enforce data governance policies to maintain data quality and integrity.
  • 4. Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, and product development, to align information architecture and data strategy with organizational goals.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, fostering understanding and buy-in for information architecture and data initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on information architecture and data strategy best practices.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Information Architect who enjoys his work and is considered one of your organization's best. The ideal Information Architect would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
  • Must have at least 5 years of recent experience as an Information Architect / Data Strategist
  • Strong portfolio showcasing successful projects
  • Deep understanding of data management principles, including data modeling, data governance, data privacy and data quality.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with data-related technologies and platforms (e.g., data warehouses, data lakes, ETL tools, cloud services, SaaS, PaaS products).
  • Expertise with cloud technology and cloud-first strategies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management practices is a plus.
  • Data product management experience and expertise
  • Data Governance tools and processes experience
Nice to Have Requirements:
  • DAMA Certification
  • Experience with the TOGAF framework
  • AI enablement experience
