Position Overview: (Primary function)  

The Business Development Center Manager oversees a team that is the first line of contact for the sales and service department. This includes phone calls, emails, and other internet customer contacts.  

Nature and Scope:   

This position assists in the development and performance of all sales and service BDC associates. This includes providing timely feedback and identifying growth candidates to the BDC Manager.  

Essential Functions:   

An individual must be able to manage and/or perform each essential function in a satisfactory manner. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position. 

  • Manages the download and follow-up on all dealership manifest and opportunity lists. 

  • Supervises inbound call and internet contact response time. 

  • Oversees the contact of all no-shows to reschedule missed appointments. 

  • Directs the outbound prospecting call process. 

  • Holds team accountable to daily/monthly expectations.  

  • Meets personal performance expectations.. Daily call/monthly goals. 

  • Administers the notification of customers for special-order parts status, Due Bill items, appointment reminders, and recall campaigns. 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the BDC team and fellow managers within the dealership.  

  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.  

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.  

  • Excellent interpersonal and counseling skills.  

  • Excellent leadership skills.  

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.  

Education/Experience: 

  • 3+ Years in the Automotive Field 

  • 2+ Year as a BDC associate and or Team Lead  

Machines/Equipment/software utilized: 
MS Office Suite, Manufacturer websites, Phones, File Sharing.  

Work Environment:  
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work primarily in an office environment.     

Physical Demands:  
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be prone to sitting for lengthy periods.   

Sensory Requirements:  
Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Most tasks require oral communications ability.
