• Will receive and quarantine all specimen packages. Open and sort specimens. Check specimens for acceptance criteria. Separate and properly code all non-testable specimens. Enter and verify (accession) all specimen information into LIS (Laboratory Information System).

• Will assist in strip manufacturing duties, including cutting and preparing strips for coating.

• Receive and log in any deliveries of laboratory supplies.

• Assist in manual entry and verification of laboratory results.

• All other duties assigned by the Laboratory Manager and/or Laboratory Supervisor.

• Notify his/her supervisor of any possible deviations from documented procedures.

Must have:

• Attention to detail

• Reliability

• Comfort around handling sensitive samples

• Comfortable working with a computer

• Lab experience is highly preferred or strong interest in the healthcare field

Pay rate: $18/hour.

Duration: Contract (seasonal) through at least January

Perks: 5 days of PTO after 30 days to use, paid holidays & overtime offered (time and a half) Currently running an OT bonus program as well. Lots of extra earning potential

Shifts: (full time)

Training is Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm

After 1-2 weeks, will move to second shift on varying schedules. These are the main

schedules:

  • 3pm -11:30pm any day, rotating Saturdays (Example: M,W,F, Sat, Sun)

  • Sun-Thursday 3pm-11:30pm weekdays; 12-8:30 Sunday

  • Tues-Sat: 3-11:30 weekdays; 12-8:30 Saturday
