Vocational Specialist, ACT Team, Full Time - Days
St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester in Harrison, New York is seeking a Vocational Specialist for our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. The ACT Team provides evidence-based treatment, rehabilitation, case management and support services to adults with mental illness, delivered by a mobile, multi-discipline mental health treatment team.
The Vocational Specialist works in collaboration with other members of the team, providing vocational assessments and integrating employment goals with other services provided by the ACT Team. The Vocational Specialist assesses the effects of the individual's mental illness on employment, and implements a strategy to support the individual's plans to choose, secure and maintain a job. In collaboration with the team, the Vocational Specialist helps individuals seeking employment to find the best match for their work interests, skills, and preferred work environment.
Requirements:
At least one year of experience working with adults with serious mental illness is required. Experience with vocational counseling is preferred.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a Master's degree is preferred.
Pay: $55-65k
