We are bidding on a contract supporting the Fort Johnson Network Enterprise Center. This opportunity is contingent upon a successful contract award to Oneida Technical Solutions. Position Overview: The Computer Specialist Lead - Technical Support Specialist will oversee and provide advanced technical support for a diverse range of IT systems and networks within a high-security environment. This role requires an expert in troubleshooting, system maintenance, and user support, with a focus on ensuring the availability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure. The candidate must have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance with Department of Defense (DOD) directives. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Supervision: Lead a team of technical support specialists, providing mentorship, training, and performance management. Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues. Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users. Manage and maintain desktop configurations, servers, and network devices. System Maintenance: Perform regular system updates, patch management, and vulnerability assessments. Ensure all systems are compliant with DOD 8140 and other relevant regulations. Security Compliance: Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures. Monitor system activities for potential security breaches and respond promptly to security incidents. Project Management: Coordinate and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments. Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, changes, and support activities. Prepare reports on system performance and security compliance. Communication: Liaise with other departments, vendors, and external partners to resolve technical issues and coordinate support activities. Provide regular updates to management on system status and ongoing projects. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, ITIL) preferred. Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical support or a related IT role, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Technical Skills: Expertise in Windows and Linux operating systems, network configurations, and cybersecurity best practices. Proficiency with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure). Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required. DOD 8140 Compliance: Must possess or obtain within 6 months of hire a certification that meets DOD 8140 requirements (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP). Work Environment: Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed. Occasional travel may be required for off-site support. Work Schedule: Full-time position with potential for after-hours support as needed.
