Position will travel to OSF facility in Streator IL as needed.

OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center Rehab is a hospital-based department that provides therapy services to inpatients and outpatients. Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy services are provided to patients across the life span. Therapists treat a wide variety of patient diagnoses, and specialties provided at this location include the BIG program for Parkinson's patients, Pelvic Floor Muscle Dysfunction, Vestibular (dizziness) Dysfunction and pediatric Physical, Speech and Occupational Therapy services.

OSF will invest in you on day 1 Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive 24 hours of Vacation and Holiday time that will be available for use beginning day 1. This is in addition to our generous time-off benefits.

Expected pay for this position is $35.33 - $41.57/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Speech Therapist assists patients in the restoration or development of swallowing, speech and communication functions through evaluation and treatment.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Masters

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Respective state temporary license with the supervision of a Licensed Speech Pathologist for 18 months
  • Respective state temporary license while completing Clinical Fellowship Year or respective state license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA)

Other skills/knowledge:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as Speech Pathologist
  • Valid state driver's license, as verified through the respective state Department of Motor vehicles driving record abstract.
  • Analytical ability to administer and evaluate standardized speech/language tests, conduct swallowing evaluations, evaluate patients' capabilities, develop treatment plans and monitor patients' progress.
