Job Title: Network WAN Engineer

Job Location: Plano, TX (Onsite Position)

Duration: Full Time/Permanent Hire

Job Description:

1. Level 3 or Level 4 Network WAN & Security Engineer.

2. Expert level understanding and implementation of commonly deployed WAN technologies and concepts - MPLS, Viptela SDWAN, P2P, VRF, Wave, SONET, DWDM, WAN Optimization - is a requirement.

3. Expert knowledge of Layer 3 technologies, including - IPv4, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, PIM, HSRP, DMVPN, NHRP, and GETVPN - is required.

4. Play a Subject Matter Expert (SME) role on network security technologies like Palo Alto, Zscaler (ZIA & ZPA).

5. Deep and strong understanding of Palo Alto firewalls, Internet proxy, DNS, SSL & IPSec VPN, multi-factor authentication and IPS technologies.

6. Strong hands-on experience in Zscaler Internet Access & Private Access.

7. Good understanding on F5 Load balancers with GTM & LTM.

8. Expert knowledge of Traffic prioritization technologies and techniques including - QoS, TOS, COS, LLQ, CBWFQ, WFQ, Shaping, Policing, MPLS-VPN QoS - is required.

9. Design, implement and manage the network and security systems within a secure multi-tenant cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) environment.

10. Good hands-on experience on Cisco VManage, Netscout, Infoblox, Vital Net, App Neta etc.

11. Proven expertise working with Global Telecommunications carriers.

12. Validated experience in managing, provisioning, and designing network technologies in a large globally diverse environment.

13. Expert-level hands-on configuration of networking equipment, management tools and network analyzers.

14. Ability to write detailed methods of procedure and maintain documentation including the creation of Visio drawings.

15. Network Automation experience with Python and/or Ansible strongly preferred.

16. Provide network design and implementation strategies, migration plans, and technical project support for medium to high complexity projects.

17. Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.

18. Prepares Business Cases, financial analysis spreadsheets, deployment plans, and detailed bills of materials in preparation for presentation to Leadership for new deployments.

19. Perform hands on configurations for new deployments.

20. Prepares Build documents and Operational Support procedures and performs knowledge transfer to Build Factory and Run team to ensure a smooth onboarding of new deployments.

21. Familiar with Agile & Scrum methodology.
