As we continue to expand, we are searching for a Training Specialist to join our amazing team

The Training Specialist is tasked with overseeing and delivering training programs for employees, with a primary emphasis on the retail service line. This role includes evaluating external training vendor products for quality and effectiveness, as well as managing all training systems. Ensuring timely delivery of all required training is also a key responsibility.

What you'll do:
  • Maintain knowledge of Credit Union products and services and cross-sell.
  • Measure and track training effectiveness, including written examinations and simulated activities. Track employee progress and report to management.
  • Evaluate on-the-job performance following training to validate retention and application of learning.
  • Maintain calendar of employee training events, develop training agendas, and obtain regular feedback on training content and courses.
  • Design and develop programs, and effective training documentation and tools, that position our talent to drive the strategic objectives of the credit union.
  • Manage the coordination and facilitation of company-wide training which may include new hire orientation, in-service training, new product training, position development, and other programs that contribute to the success of the credit union.
  • Facilitate team member training sessions (in-person and virtually) inclusive of new hire orientation, position and product-specific training, and all supporting compliance and procedural knowledge. Administer and analyze assessments to ensure understanding of material trained, continuously reviewing course curriculum and make updates as needed.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
  • Associate's degree in education or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of credit union data processing systems. Knowledge of various training methods such as lectures, online, and on the job.
  • Detailed knowledge of credit union products and services and general knowledge of retail policies and procedures.
  • Three to five years of product and service knowledge, Symitar system knowledge as it relates to input of new products and services.
  • Previous training experience preferred, but not required.
