Swedish Medical Center is currently seeking an Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant who is passionate about the neurological population at the Cherry Hill Campus in acute care and the inpatient rehab unit. Cherry Hill specializes in patients with complex neurological and cardiac diagnoses. Services are delivered within the framework of a team approach, appropriate disciplines, significant others, and the patient. These services are delivered in compliance with ethical standards, policies and procedures, national and professional standards, state practice guidelines for occupational therapists, and current accepted state of the art treatment techniques. In this position you will: Evaluate and develop individual treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes. Implement and make appropriate adjustments to the treatment plans. Reassess treatment results and provide discharge recommendations. Candidates will need to possess a passion for the neurological population. The occupational therapist (OT) delivers and supervises others in the delivery of occupational therapy services. Upon referral, the OT performs evaluations and develops individual plans of care to maximize functional outcomes, implements the plans of care, reassesses treatment results, and actively participates in discharge planning. Services are delivered within the framework of a team approach, including appropriate disciplines, significant others and the patient. Provision of care for pediatric adolescent orthopedic patients may be required. Coverage of both inpatient and outpatient services may be required at the Ballard and Issaquah clinics. These services are delivered in compliance with ethical standards, policies and procedures, national and professional standards, state practice acts, and current accepted state of the art practice. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Washington Occupational Therapist License upon hire.
