  • BSA Hospital is a 445-bed hospital serving the Amarillo area for over 120 years and continues to be Amarillo's preferred healthcare provider. At BSA, the focus is to provide quality healthcare in Christian love, service and dignity.

Responsibilities

Provision and documentation of examinations, evaluations, the establishment of functional ST diagnoses, prognoses and plans of care including formulation of treatment goals, providing speech therapy intervention to patients, measuring and reporting outcomes, formulating and carrying out a discharge plan, and supervision of licensed and non-licensed assigned staff or students. Interaction and practice in collaboration with other professionals are required.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Master or Doctorate Degree of Speech Language Pathology
  • Have or be qualified to earn a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology as awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Current license and be authorized to practice Speech-Language Pathology by the State Committee of Examiners for Speech-language Pathology and Audiology.
  • Current CPR certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years acute care experience
  • MBS experience
  • FEES procedure experience
  • Larynegectomy experience
