Cloud and Systems Engineer
Key Role:
Manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction. Mentor and supervise team members.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with designing, building, deploying, and securing software architectures in Cloud computing environments, including AWS
Experience with administering, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise or government IT systems or networks
Experience with the research, evaluation, and testing of Cloud computing, virtualization systems, or products used by federal agencies or commercial industry
Experience in working with AWS or Azure in production environments
Experience with the full software or systems development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, integration, testing, and implementation
Experience with administering Linux and Windows servers
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts and technologies
Ability to automate the provisioning and configuration of Cloud-based environments
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Information Service, or Information Systems
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with the use of version control systems for code management and artifact tracking, including SVN, Git, and JIRA
Knowledge of federal IT and Cloud security policies, including FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and DoD Cloud SRG and how to apply them to Cloud security architectures
Knowledge of systems integration methods and frameworks and configuration management processes
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
AWS Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
