Job Description

The Opportunity:

Saint Luke's Crittenton Children's Center in South Kansas City, MO is seeking a Residential Therapist to join our team. This position functions as a member of the unit treatment team alongside BHTs, RNs, Individual therapists, and medical providers. Your experience and expertise will allow you to support the implementation of individualized treatment plans and provide trauma informed care for youth.. Shift: Monday - Friday, 12:00-8:00 p.m., participates in on-call rotation for phone calls and in-person weekend work a few times a year

The Work:

  • Facilitating implementation of individual treatment plans and daily unit schedule including groups and activities
  • Providing coaching to residents and staff utilizing trauma informed care principles.
  • On occasion, may provide individual and family therapy as well as case management services
  • Recommends and implements general therapeutic interventions both for individual clients and for overall program development.
We are seeking Residential Therapists with experience working with children. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Trauma Informed Care principles. This position will require the skills necessary to develop communication systems that triage workloads on a daily basis. We are looking for someone with great communication and written skills with a warm, caring approach. To be successful in this role, you must be a strong collaborator, skilled at building relationships, and able to quickly shift priorities. This position requires you to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.

Must have a master's degree and applicable MO license or obtain same within 120 days of hire (LMSW, LPC, PLPC, LCSW).
