CHCW-Ellensburg has an opening for a WIC Certifier to complete certifications and follow-up appointments for clients. You will make assessments to determine eligibility, provide referrals to community resources, deliver nutrition education and promote breastfeeding. The WIC Certifier also manages the front desk to include client check-in, answering phones and scheduling appointments. In addition, you will conduct WIC activities at our Cle Elum WIC location. Must be able to complete and pass the WA WIC Certifier Competencies within first 6 months of employment. Medical Assistant Registered or Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification is required or must be obtained within first 6 months of employment.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/GED is required
- 1 year of related experience in public health, child/maternal health, nutrition, social services or human biology is preferred
- Valid Driver's license and auto insurance is required
- Bilingual Spanish/English is required
- Pre-employment drug screen is required
