Pediatric Emergency Department Clinical Nurse

Department/Unit: Pediatric Emergency Department
Work Shift: Per Diem
The Pediatric Emergency Department Clinical Nurse assesses, coordinates, and manages the needs of assigned pediatric patients throughout their care. Responsibilities include administering medications, performing treatments and procedures, interpreting diagnostic tests, and collaborating with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care. The ideal candidate should hold a current Registered Nurse license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and possess knowledge of quality improvement principles.
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments and special tests.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
