Software Engineers are responsible for the complete life cycle of a new or modified software product, from research and design to implementation, training and support. The successful candidate will be able to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • At least 2 to 4 years of experience in software development
  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Spring Boot, Angular and JQuery
  • Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management experience
Essential Job Functions for Software Engineer II

This role includes, but is not limited to the following activities:
  • Analyze information, follow software designs, software debugging, documentation and testing
  • Modify, develop and implement software programming applications
  • Support software applications
  • Participate in the testing process of software applications
Additional Job Functions
  • Perform other requests, projects, and tasks, as requested
  • Participate in the establishment and enforcement of best practices and standards
  • Applicant will be expected to work on all areas of the application including maintenance, feature development, QA, documentation, and infrastructure/performance
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Software Engineer II

In order to perform this role successfully, the Software Engineer II needs to have the following skills and experience:
  • Strong working knowledge with a relational data base like MySQL and MariaDB
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to take ownership and exercise good judgment
  • Knowledge of SDLC best practices and project management methodologies
  • Must have a working knowledge of Agile/Scrum Methodology
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence Scrum collaboration tools
  • Clinical, financial, administrative or departmental experience in a healthcare setting is a plus, but not required
  • Experience with Iguana, Lua and/or other scripting languages, HL7 and X.12 a plus
  • Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management - Insurance Domain is a plus
  • Experience with Apache Tomcat, Redis, git, and Jenkins also a plus
  • Experience with Linux and AWS
  • Strong fit with our development culture

  • Ability to work effectively with senior engineers, product and system architects, product managers, and technical support team
