Overview

Helpdesk - IT Specialist is an entry-level position on the IT Team at SDI Southwest Division reporting directly to a Lead Helpdesk or IT Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the installation and maintenance of all computer hardware and software
• Assisting with the support of all aspects of LAN-based networking
• Assisting with the installation and maintenance of voice systems; usually limited to cabling, phones, headsets and software
• Cabling new and existing locations for new network, computers, phones or other equipment such as printers
• Repairing or upgrading computer systems as needed
• Providing Tier 1 level support on hardware and software technical issues
• Creation of Active Directory Users, Groups. Modify/Change Permissions for users or groups
• Assisting with the creation, updating and management of computer images
• Prepare documentation to assist end-user adoption of new and existing tools
• Work in the ticketing tool fulfilling all end-user incidents and requests in compliance with agreed SLA's
• Any other duties that the lead or IT supervisor may find necessary
• Availability 24/7 in case of emergency.
• Manage the computer equipment inventory

Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • Must be a computer course student, graduate, or have computer-related work experience
  • Knowledge of Windows 10,11 required, Servers 2019 and above preferred
  • Computer certifications
    1. CompTia A+
    2. CompTia Network+
    3. CompTia Security +
    4. Or similar (Google)
