PET CT Scan Technician Opportunity

One of our clients in the area has engaged us to help them recruit a PET CT Scan Tech to join their growing team. They are dedicated to providing exceptional care and cutting-edge diagnostic services to our community. Our state-of-the-art imaging department is equipped with the latest technology, and we are committed to delivering accurate and timely results to support patient care.

Position Overview: As a PET CT Scan Tech, you will play a crucial role in performing diagnostic imaging procedures to detect and monitor various medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform PET CT scans accurately and efficiently according to physician orders.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and explaining the process to ensure comfort and cooperation.
  • Operate PET CT scanning equipment and ensure proper calibration and maintenance.
  • Review and interpret imaging results to ensure high-quality diagnostic output.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and provide insights.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of imaging procedures and patient information.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Stay current with advancements in PET CT technology and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • Current certification as a PET CT Technologist (PET/CT) from a recognized certification body (e.g., ARRT, NMTCB).
  • Valid state TMB licensure in Radiologic Technology.
  • Previous experience in PET CT imaging is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of imaging techniques, anatomy, and pathology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
