Primary Responsibilities: Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation Analyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position Assist with or lead the month end quarterly end close process for assigned businesses or groups Performs work in a self-directed manner and works with less structured, more complex issues Serve as a resource to others You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent 2+ years of professional accounting experience Demonstrated solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements Ability to assess and interpret customer needs and requirements Ability to identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems Ability to solve moderately complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analyses Proven intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
