We're looking for a committed and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) who specializes in Labor and Delivery to become part of the Verovian Nursing Agency team in Alaska. Verovian Nursing Agency is looking for an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Labor and Delivery position in Kodiak, Alaska. This full-time role offers great opportunities for career growth and includes performance-based bonuses.

Job specification

  • Provide comprehensive care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
  • Monitor the health and progress of both mother and baby, addressing any complications that may arise.
  • Assist with pain management, including administering medications and other interventions as necessary.
  • Educate and support mothers and their families about childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
  • Follow all established protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
Candidate requirements Alaska Registered Nurse License. 1 year of job-related experience. BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications are required. Strong clinical skills with the ability to handle high-stress situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
