Physician Assistant Requirements:

Must be willing to travel to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital occasionally.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in physical science degree from an accredited institution is required

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant program

  • Must complete courses of training for both basic and advanced cardiac life support

  • Must be certified or eligible for certification by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistant) and Delaware State Board of Medical Education and Licensure

Nurse Practitioner Requirements:

Must be willing to travel to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital occasionally.

  • Master of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited institution required

  • Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner program

  • Must complete courses of training for both basic and advanced cardiac life support

  • Board certified as an adult, family, or acute care Nurse Practitioner by an advanced practice certifying body

  • Licensed in the State of Delaware as a registered nurse and an advanced practice nurse
