Utility Foreman

Emery Sapp & Sons, a construction company based out of the Midwest, is seeking an experienced Foreman to manage and lead a crew of construction workers on our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality. As a key member of our team, the Foreman will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a crew of construction workers, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress
- Ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality
- Ensure that all crew members comply with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards
- Communicate regularly with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget
- Develop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of project schedules and deadlines
- Train crew members on safety procedures and best practices
- Manage project resources, including materials and equipment, to ensure that they are used efficiently and effectively
- Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or vocational training preferred
- 5+ years of experience in construction, with experience in a leadership role
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus
- A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace
