We are currently seeking individuals to fill this role in the Greater Phoenix Area.

Experienced Glaziers are responsible for handling fabricated architecturally finished aluminum window system components during staging and installation. Must also handle commercial glass units during staging and installation, install prefabricated aluminum window frames, door frames, storefronts, and curtain wall. Additional tasks include hanging all-glass doors and aluminum storefront doors in frames.

Trainee Glaziers will be taught to read blueprints, develop an understanding of installation procedures, and learn proper methods to handle fabricated finished aluminum window system components during staging and installation. Will also be shown proper methods to handle commercial glass units during staging and installation. Assist with installation of prefabricated aluminum window frames, door frames, storefronts, and curtain wall. Help with hanging all-glass doors, aluminum storefront doors and ensure the efficient use of materials while supporting lead glaziers on jobsites. Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions. Learn how to conduct accurate field measuring of window openings, and how to operate equipment and power tools.

Requirements

  • Must possess strong work ethic and helpful attitude.
  • Static Strength - should be able to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull and/or carry objects.
  • Flexibility - should be able to bend, stretch, twist, and reach with your body and extremities.
  • Have good balance and hand-eye coordination.
  • Basic Numerical Faculty - should be able to perform basic math functions including counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Experienced Glaziers should also be skilled in:
  • Problem solving, adaptability, innovation, leadership, self-motivation, quality-focused, detail oriented and safety minded.
  • Must understand units of measure, operate equipment, power tools, and handle other various materials.
  • Be capable of installing materials per project specifications.
  • Have prior building and construction knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings.
  • Should understand blueprints and specifications to determine size, type and dimensions of glass; and be able to interpret drawings to establish location for staging materials and framing, as well as installation procedures.

All positions must perform general physical activities which require considerable use of arms, legs, and moving the entire body (i.e. climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and kneeling).
