Exercise Physiologist - Resource/Per Diem

Commitment Levels

Tier 1: 16 hours
Tier 2: 40 hours
Tier 3: 96 hours

All based on a 4 week schedule and include rotating weekends and 2 holidays per year.

Location(s):
  • This position is based at Highland Park, but will include some rotation to other sites.
  • Team members rotate to various sites including:
  • Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park & Skokie Hospitals
  • Off sites: Bannockburn, Gurnee, Vernon Hills
Job duties include:
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of assigned patients in cardiac rehab based on current standards and practices.
  • Set-up and administer all aspects of diagnostic exercise testing using various testing modes while monitoring the patient
  • Operate and troubleshoot cardiac diagnostic testing equipment
  • Determine and educate patients on appropriate exercise interventions
Job Requirements:
  • B.S. in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or related field
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia, anatomy, and physiology
  • BLS CPR from the American Heart Association
  • 6+ months experience in a clinical setting (e.g., as an EP or in a related internship/clinical)
  • EKG interpretation experience highly preferred
